How do I know my brakes need attention?
Squealing or grinding, a pull to one side, vibration under braking, a soft or long pedal, or a brake warning light. Any of these means book a check.
Do pads and discs always need replacing together?
Not always. Discs wear more slowly than pads. We measure both and only recommend discs when they are worn or damaged.
Is a grinding noise serious?
Often it means the pads are worn down to the backing plate, which damages the discs and reduces braking. Have it checked as soon as possible.
